Flewelling & Moody worked closely with a site planning committee to ensure the modernization and new construction at Willard Elementary School would meet the needs of the campus and neighborhood community. The new 2,300 sq. ft. library is twice the size of the area that was previously being used as the library. In addition to the library, a new 2,300 sq. foot multi-purpose room was built. The new facility is used as an indoor lunch area, a space for assemblies, and many other purposes. The modernizations done to the existing school buildings included
- Technology upgrade
- Historic renovation of classrooms
- Adding lighting
- HVAC installation
- Access compliance (elevators, ramps, doors, hardware)
- Fire alarm, PA, Clocks, Bells- upgrades/modifications
