This project consisted of the adaptive reuse of the AIACC award-winning Lang Ranch Elementary School Design. With slight modifications to the plan and exterior elevations, this school was given its own distinctive look. Nestled in a valley surrounded by the beautiful coastal mountain range, the site has magnificent views. The library and central courtyard are oriented to capture one of these views.

By adaptive reuse of the plans, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction to Occoupancy was completed in 18 months.

The new school facilities are 58,230 sq. ft. and include a 2,850 sq. ft. library, a 2,900 sq. ft. multi-purpose room, and more than 35,000 sq. ft. of classroom space. Energy management systems such as tinted double-glazed windows, daylighting in corridors and automated lighting and temperature controls have also been put into place.
