Strengthening their professional relationship even further, District Administrators, City Planners, and our designers teamed to create an award-winning neighborhood school. This result was a showcase facility born from an architectural style unique in several ways. The Santa Barbara design elements and its construction materials were firsts for area schools. With a strong commitment to the arts, particularly music, this school uses standards derived from the design process of New Vista Middle School, another award-winning F&M design, yet it diverges to establish itself as an important contribution to the community. Reflecting residential tones and welcoming after-hour use, it is a school worthy of the excitement it generated during design and construction.
